Gravel bags  are very strong bags with a handle and a sewn-in tie. They are used in silo pits to securely press the silage film. They are stabilized against ultraviolet radiation for 6 years, and can be used multiple times. They prevent the film from moving and isolate the perimeter of the silo pit. They are made of polyethylene in the form of a mesh. As a rule, they are dark green. It is recommended to fill the press bags with a small fraction of crushed stone or screenings.

The robust gravel bags are very flexible and create a much better seal along the clamp wall than tires. Tires only have one point of contact on the clamp wall, whereas gravel bags have contact along the entire length, helping to create a tight seal around the entire perimeter of your silo surface.
